(Most) Sundays, 10am-11:15am
Location: KMC Vancouver: 1833 Victoria Diversion, Vancouver
All parents wish for their children to be happy. In an uncertain and busy world, children and parents need a place to go together to learn how to develop harmony, confidence and methods to help calm our minds and strengthen our families.
The Kid’s Meditation Class is designed for children ages 4 to 11. We learn about giving, sharing and loving everyone. Activities include a spiritual topic, story time, and arts and crafts. Classes are taught by experienced Dharma practitioners. Click the Video tab above to preview a class.
Parents are welcome to stay with the children or enjoy Prayers for World Peace being offered in the adjacent meditation room.
CLASS FEE: $5
This class is co-taught by Colleen Neely and Inkeri Meharg – both dedicated Kadampa Buddhist Teachers who have been practicing and teaching for many years.
Inkeri Meharg draws from her own experience as a mother raising a son and daughter and finding time for study and meditation. Children love her calm and creative energy.
Colleen Neely is A long-time practitioner, who has seen first-hand the benefits of meditation for children; her own daughter, now a well-adjusted teenager, attended the Kid’s Meditation classes for many years. Children are drawn to Colleen’s natural warmth and humour.
