About the Classes

Meditation is a way of calming the mind and developing a more positive approach to life. These classes provide an opportunity to learn how to meditate, and how to apply simple meditation techniques in the midst of a modern lifestyle.

Each class consists of two guided meditations and a teaching to help us solve our daily problems and find the lasting happiness we seek.  No previous experience required – beginners welcome.  Each class is self contained, so drop in any class.

$15/class.  No need to pre-register, please just drop in.

The Teacher

Gen Kelsang Sanden is a Canadian Buddhist monk, and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Vancouver.  He has been a long time student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. He is well loved for his compassion, sense of humour and the clarity of his teachings.
