This weekend retreat is a special opportunity to enjoy a spiritual break with other students and deepen your understanding of Buddha’s teachings and experience of meditation. Just 1 hour from Vancouver, this is a perfect getaway from our busy lives and the best environment to re ect, rejuvenate and recharge. Everyone is welcome.

In this retreat learn meditative techniques to train our mind to respond to challenging situations in productive ways, gradually producing a profound universal compassion that makes even our simplest actions deeply bene cial for others. Gen Sanden will explain the essential practices of training the mind based on Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche’s book Universal Compassion and teachings from the NKT International Kadampa Fall Festival in Germany.

“Just as every part of a medicinal tree – the roots, trunk, branches, leaves, flowers, and fruit – provides medicine and is useful in curing disease, so every part of the instructions on training the mind can cure the mental disease of the delusions. Ordinary medicines can cure only physical disease, but the panacea of training the mind cures sicknesses of both body and mind.”

– Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, Universal Compassion
