KMC Vancouver offers three different levels of study programs all based on the books of Ven. Geshe Kelsang Gyatso:
- The General Program Meditation Class which is open to everyone;
- The Foundation Program, for those who wish to study systematically;
- The Teacher Training Program (TTP), for those who wish to train to become Buddhist meditation teachers themselves. (Currently merged with Foundation Program)
KMC Vancouver is a member of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union (NKT-IKBU). The NKT is an International Union of Kadampa Buddhist Centers. There are currently over 2200 centers and groups worldwide. Near the Vancouver area, we have a sister centers in Abbotsford, KMC Fraser Valley, which holds classes in Surrey and many other cities in the Fraser Valley. From time to time, we gather as a community at Kadampa Meditation Centre Canada in Toronto, home of our National Temple for festivals, special courses, and retreats.
