Kadampa Meditation Centre Vancouver

Kadampa Meditation Centre Vancouver was founded 25 years ago to help everyone enter and experience the Bodhisattva’s way of life, and through this discover that true happiness is really possible.

In this 25 year anniversary of Kadampa Meditation Centre Vancouver, we are celebrating the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life with a number of special events. A friend of the world, a Bodhisattva, is someone who, motivated by compassion, seeks to bring benefit to each and every living being every day. These events are open to everyone and all are welcome!

Join Us for These Special Events

JANUARY 22 – Meditation for Mental Well Being

In this 25 year anniversary of Kadampa Meditation Centre Vancouver, we are celebrating the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life with a number of special events including this special course on the power of meditation to transform our life.

Why do you want to meditate? Most of us would say that it’s to feel calmer, happier and less stressed or to make our life more joyful or meaningful.

Join us for this half day course and learn how to stop being defeated by life. Instead learn to use every moment of your life to unlock your potential for mental well being, transformation, and inner peace.

FEBRUARY 12 – THE CONFIDENCE OF WISDOM: The blessing empowerment of Buddha Manjushri

Why would we want to receive this empowerment?
There can be no doubt that our world needs help. In these challenging times, sometimes things can seem dark and we can lose our confidence in ourselves and others.

Buddha explained that our usual solutions can also create many problems because we are trying to solve our problems and find happiness without wisdom. Real happiness and real solutions to our problems will only arise from wisdom in our hearts.

Come join us for this day of empowerment and wisdom teachings at KMC Vancouver with Gen Sanden and our bodhisattva community working for the benefit of all living beings.

MARCH 5 – BECOME A FRIEND OF THE WORLD

Do you want to become a friend of the world?
Do you want a hopeful path forward during these difficult times?

Kadampa Meditation Centre Vancouver was founded 25 years ago to help everyone enter and experience the bodhisattva’s way of life, and through this discover that true happiness is really possible.

A friend of the world, a Bodhisattva, is someone who, motivated by compassion, seeks to bring benefit to each and every living being every day.

During the day we will learn how to practise the Bodhisattva’s actions and we will have the opportunity to take the Bodhisattva Vow. With this, we will learn that becoming a Bodhisattva is not an unattainable goal, but the result of the practical steps to awaken and maintain our good heart and progress along the path to full enlightenment.

Join us for this very special occasion celebrating our 25th year and become part of this Bodhisattva community!

APRIL 8-10 – Healing Wisdom: How to feel hope in challenging times – Western Canada Dharma Celebration 2022

The Western Canada Dharma Celebration is an annual gathering of Kadampa Buddhist Centres in western Canada. This year, it will be taught by Gen-la Kelsang Khyenrab, the New Kadampa Tradition’s National Spiritual Director for Canada.

It includes an empowerment, teachings, guided meditations and prayers. In between sessions there is time to rest and relax in the peaceful meditation space and community room.

This Year’s Theme
With all the problems appearing in the world right now it’s easy to become discouraged, anxious or fearful.

In this year’s Celebration we will find practical solutions to problems that seem unsolvable. Rather than feeling discouraged by all the suffering and pain we see around us, and within us, Buddhist teachings offer us scientific methods to understand the root source of our problems and to develop the capacity of our mind for real positive change.

Join us for the 2022 Western Canada Celebration! Registration opening soon!
