BECOME A FRIEND OF THE WORLD
“Nowadays, with the world in turmoil, there is a particular need for modern-day people to cultivate Bodhichitta. If we are to make it through these perilous times, true Bodhisattvas must appear in the West as well as in the East.”
Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso
Do you want to become a friend of the world?
Do you want a hopeful path forward during these difficult times?
Kadampa Meditation Centre Vancouver was founded 25 years ago to help everyone enter and experience the bodhisattva’s way of life, and through this discover that true happiness is really possible.
A friend of the world, a Bodhisattva, is someone who, motivated by compassion, seeks to bring benefit to each and every living being every day.
Many people have the compassionate wish to benefit others, but few understand how to accomplish this successfully in daily life. Through training, we can become a Bodhisattva and have such strong compassion that we are able to transform all our daily activities into ways of benefiting others.
As part of The Year of the Bodhisattva: Celebrating 25 Years of Flourishing Kadam Dharma in Greater Vancouver, this course is a special opportunity to become a real friend of the world and enter the bodhisattva’s path.
During the day we will learn how to practise the Bodhisattva’s actions and we will have the opportunity to take the Bodhisattva Vow. With this, we will learn that becoming a Bodhisattva is not an unattainable goal, but the result of the practical steps to awaken and maintain our good heart and progress along the path to full enlightenment.
Join us for this very special occasion celebrating our 25th year and become part of this Bodhisattva community!
