Join us this fall for this introductory Learn to Meditate series! Learn the art of meditation and bring a sense of balance, peace and clarity into your life and relationships.
This series is designed especially for beginners (or for those who wish to revitalize their practice). In this course you will learn the essentials of meditation practice and the Buddhist approach to training the mind. Each class will include guided meditation, a talk and a chance to ask questions. Everyone is welcome.
Level 1 and Level 2 are each presented as a series, however, each class is self contained so you can drop-in any week for $12/class, or register online for $40 for a 4 week series.
Designed especially for beginners to learn the essentials of meditation practice and the Buddhist approach to training the mind.
October 16 – The Basics. What is meditation and how is it useful?
October 23 – Meditation as Medicine. Changing the way we see and interact with the world.
October 30 – Dive a Little Deeper. It turns out we’re not the only ones… A lesson about others
November 6 – Build your Practice. Breaking down the details of “How” and “Why” so you feel confident at home.
Designed for those who have completed Level 1 or for those those who wish to revitalize their practice and delve deeper into meditation and modern buddhist practices.
November 13 – When life gives you lemons: Learn to take the not so awesome things life throws at you and use them to your advantage.
November 20 – We’re all going to die – Let’s talk about it.
November 27 – Kicking bad habits. Anger, impatience, jealousy, hatred… we’ve all been there
December 4 – You are not your mind. Let us prove it to you. Distinguish yourself, from your mind.
