MEDITATION FOR MENTAL WELL BEING
In this 25 year anniversary of Kadampa Meditation Centre Vancouver, we are celebrating the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life with a number of special events including this special course on the power of meditation to transform our life.
Why do you want to meditate? Most of us would say that it’s to feel calmer, happier and less stressed or to make our life more joyful or meaningful.
One of the biggest misconceptions about meditation is that it is only practiced on a cushion. This leaves our life divided into time to “meditate” and time to “live or do”. Happy or calm on the cushion, stressed and overwhelmed when doing things like taking children to school, working or on holiday with family,
When we understand Dharma, or Buddha’s teachings, more deeply we understand that we can make every moment of our life a beautiful meditation. Meditation is a tool for inner change and if it is left on the cushion, then our practice will never bear fruit.
Join us for this half day course and learn how to stop being defeated by life. Instead learn to use every moment of your life to unlock your potential for mental well being, transformation, and inner peace.
