The blessing empowerment of Buddha Manjushri
Saturday February 12

In this 25 year anniversary of Kadampa Meditation Centre Vancouver, we are celebrating the Bodhisattva’s Way of Life with a number of special events including the empowerment of the Wisdom Buddha Manjushri.

Why would we want to receive this empowerment?

There can be no doubt that our world needs help.  In these challenging times, sometimes things can seem dark and we can lose our confidence in ourselves and others.

Buddha explained that our usual solutions can also create many problems because we are trying to solve our problems and find happiness without wisdom. Real happiness and real solutions to our problems will only arise from wisdom in our hearts.

Why is wisdom the solution?

With wisdom in our hearts, our mind is very clear, confident, and free from disturbing thoughts. Wisdom gives us clarity and insight and, like an inner spiritual guide, helps us to act thoughtfully, skillfully, and meaningfully in daily life. Since all our negative states of mind are based upon the opposite of wisdom – namely confusion – everyone needs to develop wisdom. With it, we will know what to do in every situation and actually be of benefit.

The wisdom of all enlightened beings appears in the form of Buddha Manjushri. Through receiving this empowerment, we receive Manjushri’s powerful blessings to illuminate our minds and to help us help others.  Manjushri helps us to become living modern day bodhisattvas, friends of the world, ultimately to become wisdom Buddhas ourselves. It is only through receiving Buddha Manjushri’s blessings that we can develop the profound wisdom realizing ultimate truth which is the final solution to all our problems.

Buddha’s wisdom teachings on ultimate truth help us to understand that real solutions actually exist and we gain faith through the scientific methods Buddha taught that are as relevant today as at any time.

Come join us for this day of empowerment and wisdom teachings at KMC Vancouver with Gen Sanden and our bodhisattva community working for the benefit of all living beings.
