CLASS SCHEDULE & TOPICS
BUDDHIST SOLUTIONS FOR OUR DIFFICULT TIMES
April 12, 19, 26 | May 3
Whether you joined us at the public talk on April 7th by the same name or not, this series, led by Bruno Alves, gives us an opportunity to learn and practice meditations that will improve the quality of our mind, increase our happiness and decrease our suffering. This series is suitable for beginners and experienced meditators alike and each session will be self-contained.
We can see for ourselves that despite all our efforts to solve our problems, there is no less suffering in the world today, and there are no fewer problems. In recent years our knowledge of modern technology has increased considerably, but there has not been a corresponding increase in happiness or decrease in suffering or problems.
Buddha’s teachings clarify why this is so and show us why, if we seek real happiness and solutions to our own and others’ problems, we must improve the quality of our mind. Buddhist teachings give us scientific methods to do exactly that. Join us for one class or the 4-week series and learn the methods to solve our own and others’ problems and fill our lives with meaning and purpose.
April 12: Session 1
April 19: Session 2
