Life can be quite challenging. Things don’t always go the way we want them to and people often don’t do what we want them to do. If we are depending upon external situations and others to make us happy, we will often find ourselves quite vulnerable, dealing with great disappointment, discouragement, grief and anger. How can we find and maintain inner strength that is stable and unwavering? How can we find deep inner protection when everything is going wrong around us?
Through training in meditation. The purpose of meditation is to make the mind peaceful and calm. When our mind is peaceful, we are content, regardless of the external situation.
In this series, Kadampa teacher Bruno Alves will provide practical tools to gain actual experience in connecting with our own limitless potential for inner peace, clarity, and inner strength.

Painful emotions such as anxiety, depression and anger stop us from being able to truly enjoy our life. Often we feel stuck or paralyzed by our negative states of mind and simply do not see any way out.Buddha skillfully explained that our lives will not materially change if we do not develop inner peace and let go of our negative emotions. But to develop such a state of inner peace we need to investigate the actual root of painful emotions. Only through meditation are we able to fully understand how to get rid of negative emotions and to cultivate positive states of mind.
In this series, teacher Bruno Alves will give us practical methods for dealing with our painful emotions and show us how we are ultimately able to eliminate them all together.
