Our weekly drop-in meditation & buddhism classes have a different topic every week so you can always keep learning. Classes begin with a simple guided breathing meditation followed by a teaching and a concluding contemplative meditation based on the topic. There is also an opportunity for questions.
No meditation experience is necessary, the classes are suitable for beginners and experienced meditators, and everyone is welcome. Each class is self-contained so you can drop in any week, please arrive 10 minutes early to check in.

In this busy world, our experiences of happiness are fleeting and short-lived while inner peace eludes us completely.
In this three week series you will learn how our unpleasant feelings and negative states of mind create endless problems for ourselves and others and prevent us from fulfilling our deepest wishes. Buddha’s teachings offer simple and clear solutions, guiding us to an oasis of peace within our hearts.
Can’t make it to everything? No worries, of course we recommend you come to as much as you can, but each class is also designed to stand alone so you can come just to the ones that fit your schedule.

Gen Kelsang Sanden is a Canadian Buddhist monk, and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Vancouver. He has been a long time student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. He is well loved for his compassion, sense of humour and the clarity of his teachings.
