Chanted prayers  are an important component of training in a spiritual life. They help us to take the meaning of Buddha’s teachings into our heart, and accomplish inner development more easily. They help still our mind, connect with enlightened beings, receive blessings and more! They take us out of the ordinary and help us connect with ourselves and other living beings in a special way.

The practice of Wishfulfilling Jewel is the heart essence of Kadampa Buddhism. In the first part we visualize our Spiritual Guide as Je Tsongkhapa (the embodiment of wisdom, compassion and spiritual power of all enlightened beings) and make prayers and requests to purify negativity,  accumulate merit, and receive blessings. In the second part we make prayers to Je Tsongkhapa appearing as our Dharma Protector, Dorje Shugden. Through this we can overcome obstacles to our practice and create favorable conditions to accomplish deep realizations of these teachings for the benefit of all. (1 hour)
