Resident Teacher

Gen Kelsang Sanden is a Canadian Buddhist monk, and the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Vancouver.  He has been a long time student of Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, the founder of the New Kadampa Tradition. He is well loved for his compassion, sense of humour and the clarity of his teachings.
Gen Sanden is the main teacher at KMC Vancouver, leading guided retreats, Empowerments, Weekend courses as well as many weekly classes.  Gen Sanden also teaches the Foundation study program.

KMC Vancouver is fortunate to have inspiring and experienced practitioners who teach drop-in meditation classes, and half day and full day courses. Our teachers engage in study and train in one of our extensive Study Programs: the Teacher Training Program or the Foundation Program.

Bruno Alves has been studying and practicing Buddhism for many years. He is a student on the Foundation Program and loves sharing the benefits of Buddhism and meditation and how practicing Buddha’s teachings can transform our life. He is a sincere and committed practitioner, known for his kind-hearted and practical approach.

Inkeri Meharg is a senior Kadampa teacher who has been practicing for over 20 years. She brings a wealth of practical experience of integrating Buddhist teachings with daily life. Inkeri is teaching Monday afternoons in West Van and often teaches the Learn to Meditate course at our main Kadampa centre.

Rebecca Bond enjoys studying Buddha's teaching in Foundation Program, and is enthusiastic about applying Dharma to our real world conditions. She is committed to the practical applications of Dharma teachings, to both find meaning and bring benefit to ourselves and the world we live in.

Ken Norquay has been practicing Kadampa Buddhism for many years. Ken brings a wealth of experience of practicing Buddhist teachings in daily life and loves using scientific examples to make the teachings accessible and easy to understand.

Josh Baker is a member of the Foundation Program and frequently teaches our regular weekly meditation classes along with other Kadampa Teachers. He is known for his kind and gentle delivery of Dharma teachings and for his faith and enthusiasm for Dharma. Josh is a sincere Kadampa practitioner.

Monique Williams has been studying Buddhism for nearly 20 years. Following the example of her teachers, she presents ancient Buddhist wisdom, in a clear teaching style, that can be applied to our busy, modern, lives.
