Turning our Mind into an Ally
Monday Mornings 10:30 – 11:45am
“Our mind is the creator of all we experience”
- Geshe Kelsang Gyatso, How to Transform Your Life
Our mind has tremendous power to make us happy or unhappy. Sometimes our mind can seem like our own best friend; other times it can feel like our own worst enemy. Painful states of mind such as anger, jealousy, and worry create endless problems for ourselves and others, and keep us from being able to relax and be happy.
Yet Buddha taught that every negative state of mind has an opposite positive state of mind. As we change our mental focus from negative to positive states, our experience of the world, our friends, and our relationships changes.
In this series, turn your mind into an ally and best friend with some time-honoured meditations and effective ways of thinking derived from the Buddhist tradition
