Mantra means mind protection. On this half day workshop, Josh will teach simple mantras that anyone can recite and find great benefit from. You can recite mantras any time to calm your mind and pacify negative thoughts; to uplift your mind, bringing an inner happiness and confidence; to dispel fear; and even to heal mental and physical illness.
Josh will introduce various mantra practices including a special breathing meditation that combines mindfulness of the breath with mantra recitation. This is a simple but powerful method to improve your concentration and to connect with your pure potential for deep inner peace.

About the Teacher
Josh Baker has been practising Kadampa Buddhism for more than 15 years, and often teaches meditation classes at KMC Vancouver. He is known for his kind and gentle delivery of Dharma teachings and for his faith and enthusiasm for Kadam Dharma. Josh lives in Vancouver with his wife and daughter.
